These are hand painted chalkware bookends by ALEXANDER BACKER CO., ABCO. The woman measures about 5 3/4"H x 4 1/2"L x 3 1/2"W and weighs 1# 11oz.; the man measures about 8 1/2"H x 4 1/2"L x 3 1/2"W and weighs 1# 13oz. Each base is covered with felt...one has a company sticker that reads, "ALEXANDER BACKER CO. NY, HAND PAINTED, MADE IN USA, ABCO" They're in VERY GOOD CONDITION.
