Up for auction is an absolutely stunningly BEAUTIFUL estate vintage (1920's-1930's) guilloche enamel necklace. This exquisite piece is a very generous 43 inches long and weighs a heavy 45 GRAMS. This necklace is one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL enamel pieces I have EVER seen, with its strand of circular and oval links that are adorned with EXQUISITE peacock colors of vibrant, bright green and cobalt blue! The necklace consists fifty-eight oval links that measure 11.75 mm x 8.45 mm x 3.74 mm (5/8" with the hoops on either side) and four larger round 1/2" inch by 5.06 mm links held together with round jump rings to form a TRULY EXQUISITE necklace. This stunning piece can be worn long, doubled, or perhaps even tripled so you can have a layered look as well, and it is in excellent condition. I cannot find any damage to the piece whatsoever, and the glass enameling has been done by a masterful artist! I have had several pieces of this type of jewelry, and beyond a shadow of a doubt, this one is the most beautiful I have ever had! The photos do not do this piece justice. It is so much more incredible in person, so I really hope you keep this in mind when viewing the photos. There is NO scratching,scuffing or chips to the enamel that I can see, and the colors are breathtaking. The necklace seems to be made of brass or brass toned metal with a lovely darker patina that only comes with age, and the piece has a spring ring clasp. the necklace is not hallmarked, but from the research I have done, this type of enameling with this kind of quality certainly seems like it would be from Norway, perhaps Denmark.
