This auction is for a vintage Antonius Stradiuarius cremonenfis violin with bow and case. It is labeled:  Antonnius Stradiuarius Cremonenfis Faciehat Anne 1725. On the bridge: Roth DeJacques U.S. Pat. 3 734.287 Made in France. On the frog: pAT. AUG 17, 09 FIT-U 3-In-1. On the bow: Roth-Glasser; the bow is in excellent condition. This is a beautifully crafted instrument with finely grained spruce and flamed maple. It has a small scratch or crack on the back side-very shallow (see picture). Also a small surface crack at the top which is very shallow-might just be in the finish; very hard to see or find. The leather case is very worn on the outside but the red felt interior is in good condition. The family who owned this violin believed it was from the early 1900's. The strings are attached but I assume new ones are needed. Approximate measurements: body, 8x14" and total length: 23".
