Description
Why buy a cheaply made inferior reproduction garment that is fashioned to look like a vintage piece...when you can have the real deal
This is a vintage "Elsons" brand mens short-sleeve shirt from the 1950's. We recently purchased a fantastic selection of vintage clothing and accessories from a large estate sale here in the Cleveland, OH area, and this is another gem from that lot.
The vintage tag is quite faded and states that the shirt is "specially styled by Elsons". There is no size or fabric content listed but we are fairly certain that this is cotton based...either 100% or a blend with rayon or another fabric. The shirt would most likely have been sized Large 16-16 1/2 (see actual measurements below to determine how this will fit you).
The shirt is a sweet GoldenRod color with a black & white pattern that includes shades of purple, green and blue. This has a 5 button placket with loop closure at collar, 2 chest pockets and some really smokin' textured glass like' buttons. Exceptionally well made, craftsmanship like this is not often seen on shirts of today.
The shirt is in EXCELLENT used vintage condition, having been previously washed and worn, but showing very little signs of use other than the label being faded. This was very well taken care of by the original owner and has been in storage for over 50 years. There are no rips, holes, stains, fading, pulls in the fabric, loose threads or any of the flaws that would often be present on a shirt of this age. This was carefully hand washed before it was photographed and is ready for immediate wear.

MEASUREMENTS
Chest - 46" (23" measured flat across the front - armpit to armpit)
Length - 28.5" (measured flat - top of collar to hem)
Don't be one of the countless sheep who just blindly follow the vintage fashion scene by wearing cheaply made reproduction garments...be the coolest Daddy-O on the block sporting some original 1950's threads. Perfect for the musician to wear onstage as the pattern is kickin and the lightweight fabric is super comfortable
