Antique embroidered patches from old wedding saris are patched together at random to form a galaxy of beautiful striking colors. Dress up your home décor. This is a patchwork piece from intricate embroideries collected and collaged at random from vintage saris / sarees and wedding outfits. Some of these embroideries are a good 50 years old. It is simply a razzle-dazzle of work. Crazy in some ways, enchantingly beautiful in others. The embroideries selected are unique to each piece and selected to complement other embroideries on the piece. There is zardozi work ~ which is gold threadwork, sequins, faux pearls, colored discs, mirrorwork, bugle and seed beads, etc. Truly unique to the embroideries characteristic of India. The design pattern is rendered in a versatile palette of dark and light tones of PINK base with sprinkles of other colors - too many to state........
