Hello ! Welcome to Dusty's eBay store ! Please read the entire listing. A vintage JBL D130 speaker in 16 ohms. This is an early pre F model with the tight .048 gap and a light frame. Very early 1960's I believe. You'll need to mount it carefully, without over torquing the mounting studs. Excellent cosmetics, original frame paint and decals, the alnico magnet shell has been completely refinished in the correct shade of gray. Label is quite scratched up, but not horribly so, it's a D130F label and the last presentable D130 label I have. All paper original style cone, surround treated front and back, as was original. Kapton voice coil. All the superlatives we like to bandy about apply to this driver ; 'legandary' 'iconic' 'classic'. I'm still amazed with the charature of their sound, even with so many great speakers that pass through my hands, this is forever a favorite and the benchmark for any 15" in a guitar appliction. It will not disappoint. I've sold many of my rebuilt D series speakers here on eBay, but a D130 or D130F never seems to last more than a day or two, in a 30 day listing. When you purchase a reconed, more correctly, rebuilt speaker from Dusty's you are buying the very best. We use only good un-damaged frames. We force a bead of epoxy around the edges of the magnets filling all gaps between plate and magnet where needed and re-bond the magnet to the frame, the magnet structure will hold together for the life of the rebuild and there will be not a rattle or buzz. Any interior foam screening is replaced with a high temperature fiber screen which will not deteriorate and plug up the coil gap over time, as the originals did. All our soft parts are the highest quality the industry has to offer, surpassing the quality of the originals for the nearly every speaker. I personally test each and every speaker before it leaves our hands. Our work is meticulous, professional and very neat. We are not an authorized service center for JBL, ElectroVoice, Altec or any other brand and do not use so called 'OEM' parts, or sell parts. In this way we can better serve musicians and sound professionals by offering the best value possible, quality drivers ready to go at less than the cost of a 'factory' reconing on a frame you already own, which you'll have to pay shipping on both ways. We also do not pad the price with a 'handling' charge as most reconers do, buyer pays only actual UPS shipping charges.
