PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THE TERMS and INFO BELOW, WHILE CONSIDERING YOUR BID FOR THIS ITEM.

My late Uncle was a Midwest music teacher in the 40’s and 50’s. This was part of his personal collection. Stored for the last 40 plus years, so I am certain it is somewhat vintage and collectible.  I am taking advantage of the  this time to see if anyone can appreciate this oldie.

This is a TRULY VERY EARLY/OLD model, but is in excellent shape for its age. THE SERIAL NUMBER IS 142 219

Here is a link to a digital version of the original owners manual:  Incredible!!

Specifications of the "New Wonder", CIRCA 1914:
Diameter of bell, 4 5/8". Length of valve casing: 6 1/16". Length of cornet, 17 inches. Weight: 2 lbs. 8 oz. The "New Wonder" Cornet is made in low pitch or high and low pitch, according to order.

What Conn said about the "Victor" in 1927:

"Victor cornets are setting the standard for the cornet world. Easy speaking, marvelously flexible, with unsurpassed beauty of tone."

The case is actually in very good condition although there is no key.

The Buttons all work. Overall the condition appears VERY GOOD and could use a good cleaning.

It has been STORED IN DRY CLIMATE SINCE 1956.

MORE PICTURES:

I have a slideshow of pictures, that I can email to your direct email. Sorry, I DO NOT respond to “The Yellow Button”.

I am NOT a MUSICIAN so, I can only state what I know.  Yes, the horn plays. No technical questions though, because I have no qualifications to answer with any authority. To the best of my knowledge, this instrument is completely usable in its current condition, but because I am NOT an expert, this item is being sold AS-IS.
If you have any "answerable" questions, please feel free to ask.

MORE PICTURES UPON REQUEST. Very Collectible!

Actual S+H costs will be quoted to the high bidder AFTER close.
