VINTAGE ESTATE GORHAM SOLID STERLING WATER PITCHER

GORHAM 1945 DATE MARK, SOLID STERLING SILVER PITCHER.

H c. 8 1/8" x L 8" (Handle to spout).

3 3/8 pint capacity.

Approximately 28 troy ounces.

Marked with the standard triple set of Gorham sterling hallmarks, #231, and the date mark number "5" in a square.

There is a large raised relief acanthus leaf on the top of the handle.  The entire rim of the pitcher has a double rolled edge.

NOT MONOGRAMMED.

Condition: This is from an estate, and does have a little wear. There are no real dents or deep gouges.  There are some exterior rubbed marks which were probably due to the pitcher being stored on its side in a box for several decades.  There is a little bit of black tarnishing on the inside of the pitcher which is about the size of a half dollar.  The exterior should polish up quite well.

The overall weight of the pitcher with packing and a box is about 3 pounds 4 ounces.  The pitcher fits inside the large priority flat rate mail box or a box with the dimensions of 9" x 12" x 12" or 14" x 14" x 14".

There is an error in the priority overseas shipping amount.  It should be about $54.00 for the large flat rate shipping box.  In the US, the flat rate priority shipping box is $13.00.  Sorry.
