PLEASE LOOK WAY DOWN THE PAGE TO SEE THE PICTURES!

We are selling this great Fender part with no reserve!

This featured instrument is an authentic Fender Stratocaster neck, made of maple & manufactured in Japan in the late 1985, possibly as early as 1982. The screw holes look like they were filled and drilled. No tuning pegs are included. this authentic neck features 22 frets & a 4 bolt neckplate, The maple is beautifully lacquered. Skunk inlaid rosewood stripe on back of neck.

Marked "Fender Stratocaster" serial number on the headstock is "E820319", On the back heel it is stamped "EST-557F". Headstock features 1 string tree for the 5th and 6th strings.

Overall, this item is in very nice, playable condition. There is some light distressing on the fretboard and the headstock. Ready to be assembled onto a Stratocaster body (or whatever!) & used!

Measures approximately 27" long, neck is 2.25" wide at the base 1.75" at the nut, and 1" high.

SPECIAL NOTE: When we originally listed this we believed it to be a mid 1980s American made Fender neck. IT IS NOT! Some information was sent to us by a helpful eBay'er named choachboy, correcting us as to exactly what this neck was. Accordingly to this individual, this is a Japanese made neck from a Fender Boxer series ST-557 model guitar manufactured in approximately 1985. He also  stated that it could have imported for use on the contemporary Stratocaster models sold in the US at about that time. The stamp on the heel, which contains the red letter "E", stands for export. He also felt that, in his opinion, the headstock may have been refinished with a new logo minus the "MADE IN JAPAN" portion that would have been placed under the Stratocaster label on this model. There was a period between 1982 & 1987 where the Japanese Fenders which were made by the FUJIGEN GAKKI COMPANY were considered to be just as good, if not better than, the American made versions!

A good link to a web site called 21frets.com includes info about this neck. Please feel free to check it out. In closing, you are bidding on & potentially purchasing a mid 1980s Japanese manufactured Fender neck. As always, we welcome any questions or comments. Thanks for reading, & we are sorry that we did not have the info right the first time this was listed.

Insurance is included.
