Vintage Gibson Roy Smeck Stage Deluxe Hawaiian acoustic guitar with vintage Lifton hard shell case. It's difficult to read the FON stamped inside on the neck block, but it looks like O4A. This particular version was made sometime between 1934 & 1942 & features a 2 1/16" nut width, 25" scale length, 16" lower bout, 4 1/2" body depth, solid spruce top, mahogany back & sides, V-shaped mahogany neck with Brazilian rosewood 12-fret fingerboard & Grover open-back tuners. The guitar has been refretted with large frets & a combination saddle/microphone pickup system has been installed. The guitar has quite a bit of wear & tear with various nicks, dings, chips, scratches, weather checking & play wear throughout. It has been professionally set up by our luthier & has an incredibly loud sound - big & boomy! The neck is straight & is very comfortable to play up & down the fretboard. The Lifton case is also quite worn & the handle is broken on one side.
