Some are so beautifully hand-embroidered that it's hard to imagine using them! Another use for them is as a shelf runner as they are mostly narrow and can by hung over the edge! I have quite a variety of them...linen, cotton, a mix of fibers, some Damask and that wonderful huckabuck material! Some plain; others hand-embroidered or machine embellished!
