GOLD TONE FILIGREE

DESIGNS

This lovely Ormolu jewelry casket, trinket or vanity box is the perfect place to store your rings when not being worn, or to showcase a favorite piece of jewelry or memento. The design is quite ornate with pierced or reticulated open work filigree sides, featuring three separate groups of nicely detailed roses and leaves surrounded by a wreath of flowers and leaves on the exterior. The top is beveled glass with an amber tint finished supported by a gold tone ornate outer ring. A light golden felt cushion pad lines the bottom of the inside.

The gold tone box sits on three flared ornamented feet. It probably dates from 1940s – 1950s

These jewelry caskets were gold plated to retain their nice even color, and true to form, this has not tarnished. Beveled glass top has no damage or scratches and casket is in very good condition. Overal all it measures:4-7/8” Diameter x 3-1/4” H

In excellent condition.
