From its modest beginnings in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848, the assembly workshop created by 23-year-old Louis Brandt gradually gained renown. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar , took charge of the manufacturer.
Their first series-produced calibers, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous caliber of 1894 (43mm), would ensure the brand's marketing success.
Omega has been the undisputed pioneer in sports timekeeping since the beginning of the 20th century. The company not only became official timekeeper of the Olympics, but also the world's largest sports events.
Some of the more significant models of Omega are: Electroquartz, the futuristic Time Computer, the Chrono-Quartz, the Memomaster, , the tiny De Ville and Baguette models, the original Sensor Quartz and the ultraslim Dinosaure, the reversible Equinoxe, the famous Constellation Manhattan, the intriguing Titane and the extra-hard Black Tulip, the extremely sober Art Watch, the Seamaster Multifunction, and the very feminine Carré square watch of 1999.
Since 1880 the company remains in Bienne, Switzerland.

This men´s vintage OMEGA  measures 38 mm not including lugs. I had this watch fully serviced just prior to auction. It´s an HAND WOUNDED OMEGA 15 jewels  9090248 CAL 30. Original textured dial signed “Omega” with trademark Omega symbol below the 12. Gold markers and hands. The case is stainless steel and in good condition REF#:2505-28 and signed for OMEGA as well. Plastic crystal. It comes fitted with a new leather strap (not the original).
