Description:

LITTLE SNOWDROP

 

You are bidding on this rare fairy tale booklet called “Little Snowdrop” published in 1902 by Mc Loughlin Bros., New York. This book is part of Little Fairy Tale Series.

This booklet is 10 pages with amazing illustrated pages. 

 

The story is the original story of Snow White.   

The mirror scene reads:

Instead of the” mirror mirror on the wall” 

 

Here is this original text

When the queen asks the mirror it answers—

 

“Of beauty, queen, thou hast thy share,

But Snowdrop now is far fairer.”

 

I enjoyed reading this story with all the slight differences.  There are no names of the 7 dwarfs or a name for the prince.   There also was no kiss to wake her up.

 

 I am not going to tell you the end of the story you have to buy the booklet to know the original ending.

 

I am listing the condition as poor, but I did buy it because I had never seen or read this story before.  The pages are not attached and there is some page tears and discoloration.
