I BELIEVE THIS DATES TO THE EARLY 1900'S, AND once belonged to the Consolidated Telegraph & Electrical Subway Company. This company was contracted in 1885 to remove all overhead telephone and electrical lines in New York City, and bury them underground. to date there are still man hole in NYC the say CT & ES CO. PART OF AN OLD RAILROAD CONDUCTERS ESTATE, SOME OF THE OTHER ITEMS ARE LISTED IN OUR OTHER LISTINGS. MADE BY HANDLAN ST LOUIS USA, AND ALL ORIGINAL EXCEPT PERHAPS FOR THE HINGE BRAZED TO THE FONT FOR MOUNTING ON A VERTICAL PIN, AND THE MOON SHAPED HANGER ON THE WIRE BAIL. THESE MAY EVEN BE ORIGINAL TO THE LANTERN. ALL IN GOOD SHAPE, EXCEPT FOR A BIT OF RUST, AND COULD EVEN BE USED. APPROX SIZE IS 10" HIGH BY6 1/2" IN DIA. SHIPPING IS $9 (TO ANY US STREET ADDRESS), POST OFFICE BOXES & INTERNATIONAL @ ACTUAL MAIL RATES.
