VINTAGE RARE MONK POTTERY CUP w/ DALLAS SILVER INLAY

THIS IS AN UNUSUAL PIECE OF POTTERY. ON ONE SIDE THERE IS A PICTURE OF A MONK SMELLING A FLOWER. THE OTHER SIDE HAS "DALLAS" WRITTEN AND INLAID IN SILVER. THE TOP RIM OR EDGE ALSO IS INLAID WITH SILVER.

I DO NOT KNOW WHO MADE THE POTTERY. IT LOOKS TO BE A HIGH QUALITY PIECE OF POTTERY. I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE A 1936 DALLAS, TEXAS CENTENNIAL ART EXAMPLE BUT I COULD NOT FIND ANY INFORMATION ON IT AT ALL. I THINK IT IS RARE AND MAYBE ONE OF A KIND. MAYBE EVEN A MUSEUM PIECE.

RIGHT NOW IT IS IN MY LITTLE MUSEUM AND IT COULD BE IN YOURS.

THIS IS A VERY OLD MUG OR CUP. I DO NOT SEE A MARK OR SIGNATURE ON IT ANYWHERE. THE base has concentric rings under the bottom.

Warwick POTTERY USED THIS MONK DESIGN IN SOME OF THEIR POTTERY. IF YOU KNOW WHO MADE IT, I WOULD APPRECIATE AN EMAIL TELLING ME. THANKS

THIS MEASURES ABOUT 2.75" WIDE X 2" WIDE X 2.325" TALL.

THE CONDITION OF THIS IS VERY GOOD. IT DOES HAVE A LOT OF CRACKLING IN THE GLAZE. NO BREAKS OR CHIPS.
