Item specifics
Condition: UsedBrand: Rickenbacker
From all the research i've done on the lap steel guitar this is a Rickenbacker MODEL B-6 1936-1937 Vintage Electro Model with Round Volume Control. Everything seems to be original.

The Pickup has a wonderful rich tone to it. According to vintage dealers, the is a very rare guitar, and one of the most sought after. Island Guitars classifies this as "the most desirable of bakelite Ricks." and gave it a EXC HSC $1995. As one the the rarest, it looks pretty good for its age and is 100% playable as i demonstrated in the video below.

This is a genuine, fully Functional Pre-War Rickenbacher Electro Los Angeles Six String Bakelite Hawaiian Lap Steel Guitar.

In addition to its rarity, it is generally considered to be one of the finest lap steel's ever made. This instrument features the classic horseshoe magnet pickup found on these early guitars and strings loaded through the back of the body. The body is molded black bakelite with hollow cavities covered with chome plates that have wear, but are still shiny. The neck has integral molded frets and nut with insert dots. There are marks and general wear on this guitar, but it is well preserved for its age. The pickup is adjustable for height with slot head screws typical of the pre-war Rickenbachers. The round volume and tone control knobs are in fair condition and fully functional. This guitar is nearly 75 years old and has received attention and care throughout its life.

Here are in Pictures of the Guitar Close up

.

All tuners are tight and this guitar stays in tune. The guitar is original and was well taken care of. It Includes original soft plastic/nylon gig bag case in acceptable clean condition for storage. This guitar is the rarest of the rare and will only increase in value and a great investment. The fabulous tone and strong pickup makes the guitar playable the day you recieve it.

I will Only will ship within the Continental US. Shipping will be $45 insured via USPS with tracking number and shipped the very same or next day depending on post office hours.

Here is a video of me showing its functionality

Please understand that i am not a lap steel player, i have done an extreme amount or research, in addition with Rickenbacker Co.'s Help in identifying the guitar. I I have an e-mail from Rickenbacker helping me determine whote model this gitar is, and when it was made. So, due to the nature of this auction this will be sold as-is. I have posted many pictures helped you identify, and figure out if this is what you're looking for. Also, please excuse my demonstration of the lap steel, as i stated before, i don't know how to play these things... i was just goofing off and showing functionality.
