I started collecting vintage timepieces more than 10 years ago when I was an undergraduate in Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. Being a undergraduate, I could only afford to buy cheap vintage watches. I spent my weekends at flea/open air markets looking for good bargains. I can't remember how many times I came across a vintage watch that I would have loved to own but just could not afford it. Early Omega watches were my favorite (40's to 50's) at that time and I still have a number of them now. After I graduated, I began to buy more complicated vintage watches such as chronographs, moonphases and triple date calendars. Offered here is a VINTAGE ROLEX EXPLORER (MODEL:5500) WATCH WITH BEAUTIFUL BLACK DIAL AND ORIGINAL ROLEX STAINLESS STEEL BRACELET This watch has an absolutely fantastic black dial, would rate as Near Mint condition. The Stainless Steel case is in very good condition (near Mint! see below photos). As you may know, early Rolex Explorer comes in many models like 6610, 5500, 5504, 1016. This piece is made only for British market only and it also issued to the British Officers at that time. The Rare Cal 1520 High Grade Rolex Automatic Movement is in near mint condition and is running strong and keeping good time. This watch has just been fully serviced by my professional watchmaker. The watch is signed 5 times on the case, dial, crown, movement and bracelet. It measures about 34 mm wide not including the crown and 40 mm from top lug to bottom lug. It comes with a Original Vintage Rolex Stainless Steel Bracelet that is in near Mint condition (see below photos). It will fit a worst of up to 20cm with 12 links. For serious vintage Rolex/Explorer watch collectors, do not miss this chance to own such a beautiful piece in very good condition. As you may know, early Rolex/Explorer watches are getting harder to come by now not to say for one that is in this condition. Bidding starts at US$8 with a reasonable reserve. Believe me, the actual watch looks much better than the photos.
