Item:  THE HAMILTON snare drum stand, vintage, early 1900's.

Hello:  I am helping a friend sell his personal collection(s) due to his retirement.  He is a well-known drummer, percussionist, and performer for many, many years.  His name could be recognizable, so I cannot, and will not, answer any questions concerning him or his personal information.  I will answer any questions about the items up for auction.  These items consist primarily of vintage drum & percussion items and an extensive, and very rare collection of LP's, albums and many rare record items, plus other various rarities.  Please look at each item on it's own merit.  I have agreed to respect his privacy.  Only serious bids will be considered, and again, I will try and answer any questions you have about these items.  I will give as much detail as I possibly can, as some of these items are VERY rare, but please feel free to send me information at any time about an item.  Thank you.

Here is a very nice, vintage (rare, of course) THE HAMILTON snare drum stand.  Patent dates on stand are 1901 and 1905.  Stand is original and complete.  The only item that is not original is an added clamp to secure the height adjustment on the stand (this can easily be removed if desired).  One of these probably went down on the Titanic, no doubt.  Stand is in remarkably good condition, some chrome fading (age, see pics), but is sturdy and works flawlessly.  I would consider this a museum piece, but THE HAMILTON was used for many, many years, with different improvements throughout the years.  I do not know if this is the first one ever made by Hamilton, but it's right up there.  Also, interesting, note:  People were much shorter years over 100 years ago, so the stand is slightly shorter than current ones today.
