This vintage tin once contained one gross of chalk crayons.  Made in USA by Binney & Smith Co., New York.  The tin is 6" X 4" X 3 3/4" high.  I'm sure after the chalk was gone the tin was used for lots of other things as there is paint here and there on it.  I'm assuming that it held colored chalk as the tin says "where color is required".
