Vintage WALNUT Wilhelm Renz Desk Fabulous early 60s desk from acclaimed German company WILHELM RENZ - founded in 1882. Still designing & manufacturing office furniture to this day. Beautiful vintage desk - simple understated clean lines and offering masses of useful storage space. The open shelving to the back (or front) side is a stroke of design genius and gives the opportunity to store & display your favourite treasures!! The narrow opening measures 10cm height by 25cm deep; the larger one is 25cm height by 25cm deep. There are three drawers to the left hand side which open with flush recessed shaped openings. The top drawer is lockable - with key present. There is a cupboard to the right hand side which has the most wonderful pull-out file index drawer - a truly delightful eclectic touch! Bears the WR gold badge to the inside of the cupboard. Absolutely beautiful WALNUT veneers to all side. A pale mellow wood with nice grain which lends itself beautifully to contemporary or modernist interiors and is that bit rarer than Teak. This lovely desk has fantastic petite proportions at only 1.5 metres wide and will work perfectly as a stand-alone piece. In overall fantastic READY TO USE condition - free from any damage or repair. Showing vintage wear & tear as you would expect from a hard working piece of furniture. So expect to see some evidence of its previous life. We have undertaken sympathetic restoration to ensure this looks its absolute best and ready to be put to immediate use!
