"VISIONAIRE ISSUE 44: TOYS (BLACK)" – LIMITED FIRST EDITION Design by Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace, Alexander McQueen, Jean-Louis Dumas for Hermès, and Valentino Execution by Kidrobot Released by Visionaire Publishing, 2004 Visionaire has topped itself again. In partnership with Kidrobot, the art toy company, the magazine's 44th issue is a set of soft vinyl toys. This "Black" version includes five original designs by noted fashion designers Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace, Alexander McQueen, Jean-Louis Dumas for Hermès, and Valentino. (The "Red" version also includes five toys by five different designers and is also available from Top Choice Books.) These whimsical, Weeble-like toys stand on their own two legs and come with accessories, including a camera, a martini glass, a cellphone, and a flower that they can hold. An accordion-fold booklet displays pictures of all ten toys. Each issue (set of toys) comes in a molded plastic case. The numbered edition is limited to 2,000 per set (4,000 total). A truly unique issue, Visionaire Issue 44 gives you time to take a break from your reading and just play. This is a LIMITED FIRST EDITION set of NUMBERED Black Visionaire Toys in NEW condition from Top Choice Books. IMPORTANT: Given the recent flurry of toy recalls from products made in China, we want to note that Kidrobot (the maker of the toys in this Issue of Visionaire) has had NONE of their products or toys recalled due to lead or any other potentially poisonous or toxic production materials. Also, keep in mind that these expensive figurines are part of the Visionaire line of Collectibles, and are not intended to be children’s toys, and certainly the special attachments that come with each Set are small and potentially capable of being swallowed by children. Therefore, this Seller claims no responsibility once these Issues/Sets leave our Store in terms of children’s safety, and leaves that up to parental oversight.
