As I celebrate the beginning of my 12th FABULOUS year on Ebay I would like to take a moment to extend a warm and heartfelt THANK YOU to all my amazing customers, who have made it possible for me to build and maintain a successful business in this wonderful new selling arena. The words *thank you* seem inadequate. I have been blessed with an outstanding group of repeat customers from around the world, and am constantly humbled by your feedback and emails. Offered for your consideration today is a One-Of-A-Kind tote newly created by me with vintage and new fabrics.

The gorgeous fabric featured for this tote is a vintage 30s/40s medium weight cotton barkcloth. Fabulous pink roses with typically deco style feathers are perfect against the super rare green ground.

Although this piece was cut from an unused bolt, it does have a little all over fading. I like to call this look *kissed by time*. It’s perfect for that shabby romantic chic style that cannot be duplicated in today’s fabrics.

I teamed the barkcloth with a contemporary decorator fabric that has multi colored stripes including black. Though certainly not made to match the barkcloth it actually works very well. I had the barkcloth on my sewing table when I came home from the local fabric store where I had bought the stripe to go with an entirely different fabric. As soon as the two fabrics fell together I couldn’t take my eyes off them and had to use them for a tote.

The finishing touch is a stunning black vintage rhinestone button. These black ones are always difficult to take good pictures of… the sparkle is much brighter in person.

~ ~ ~ FABULOUS SOLID BASES ~ ~ ~

On the inside is a feature unique to my totes that I have been including for a few years now. I worked with an industrial materials manufacturer who came up with the perfect solid base. I have been making totes for many years and have to say that the difference with these bases is truly amazing. These bases add to the overall form and structure, and allow you to add a significant amount of weight and ensure the base will not sag or droop. Each of these bases is custom cut by me to fit the tote it is used for. They are covered with fabric and are removable to accommodate cleaning.

You will find a pocket on the inside made from the same jacquard fabric as the lining, and a super strong magnetic closure for extra security. This tote measures approximately 16” across the top, 12” along the base, 12” high, and is 4” deep. The straps measure 24” long.

I have been asked about the strength of my totes so for those that are interested…. The methods I have developed come from many years of sewing experience. I started making totes when I was at school and have sold them in stores and markets for over 27 years. I double line my totes with thick fusible fleece and strong high quality jaquard decorator fabric. All structural seams are double stitched and surged. All buttons and snaps including the magnetic one are invisibly reinforced. I devote many hours to the design and construction of each tote and you will find these are not only gorgeous to look at, but are extremely strong and durable.

I have provided many pictures of this tote from every angle, so you can clearly see the quality of the item you are bidding on. Please be patient if they take a little time to load.

What a fabulous way to show off your vintage style when out and about, and when you return home just hang it over a chair for a surprising decorative touch to your shabby cottage style room.

I’m so excited with a recent change in my life that has been such a long time coming. For the past 18yrs I have been an extremely busy stay-at-home-mom raising five children and working part time mostly in the sewing industry. Now my oldest is about to start college in the fall and my youngest will be starting school so I will be able to work full time finally! I have a large family I cannot get to the post office every single day. I usually ship twice a week, however if you are in a hurry to get your item please email me and I will do my best to send your item within 24hrs of payment. Again, communication is the key.
