Vintage French Man & Lady Figurines 5.25" Made in Japan

Offered for this auction is a cute French? couple, made of Chalk ware.  Made in Japan,  makers mark on the man's shoe.  Early 1930's.  He has a French baret and scarf, and she has a scarf on her head and shoulders, and whitish apron.  They are an elderly couple.  They are done in a flat aged tan brown finish with golden highlights.  She has a small fleabite on the back edge of her grocery bag.  There is minor ageing to the paint surface.  Cute adorable couple.
