It has a cloth bound cord and seems to be workable. PLEASE! Check the wiring before you attempt to use! It seems a little frayed. This is a nice collectable toaster. Made in; Winsted, Conneticuit, USA! It will go up in value as these get more hard to find. It does have some rust, but nothing that cannot be cleaned. Thank you and good luck!
