Vacheron traces its history back to 1755 when Jean-Marc Vacheron established his watch making firm in Geneva. Francois Constantin joined in 1819 creating Vacheron & Constantin. In 1974, Vacheron & Constantin officially dropped the ampersand from the company name, although its wristwatches had already engraved with the newer title since the 1950s. Among its multitude of watch making firsts, Vacheron Constantin invented the winding crown.

The featured watch is a Vacheron Constantin Limited Edition Jubilee 1775 in 18K White Gold measuring 40mm in diameter and 12.1mm thick. It has a gorgeous Silver Dial with a Special 250th Anniversary Guilloche' pattern and Applied White Gold Roman Numerals and Baton Markers, White Gold Hour and Minute Hands at Center (based on a VC watch from the 1920's), Blued Steel Sweep Seconds Hand and Indicator Hands and applied 18K White Gold "Geneva Seal." Date Indicator Subdial at 3 o'clock, Day Indicator (in Spanish) Subdial at 9 o'clock and Power Reserve Meter at 6 o'clock. Sapphire crystal, fine fluting on the Bezel and Caseback, Distinctive "250th anniversary" lugs, White Gold Crown with Vacheron Constantin logo; Exhibition Caseback secured by 6 screws, revealing Gorgeous Hand-Engraved Automatic Movement. Water-resistant to 30 meters. It is a Limited Edition piece of only 501 pieces. Gorgeous!
Personal Note--This watch is a 100% winner. It is a stunning Limited Edition Vacheron Constantin and comes on an Alligator Strap with a VC 18K Buckle. The style is elegant and timeless (forgive the pun!) It is a beautiful Larger size (40mm).-- This particular model is a Sold Out Limited Edition and often sells for above retail! -- Vacheron Constantin's name is synonymous with fine quality and this is a reputation which has truly been earned. I hold Vacheron in the highest regard and this watch is no exception.
