These unusual high purity 99.9% crystalline pieces of solid vanadium metal have a snowflake-like structure. They are protected from oxidition under inert argon gas in a sealed glass ampoule. They should retain their attractive shiny appearance indefinitely. Vanadium is a transition metal widely used in making special steels. This samples makes an excellent addition to any element collection and is identical to the ones in our large periodic table displays for museums (see periodictable.com). We have sold a large number of these ampoules to many satisfied collectors.
