PLEASE NOTE: If you buy this manual from me you can email me questions about your machine or the restoration process and I will make every attempt at answering. I have answered oveer 95% of the questions asked me and I recently answered one for a gentleman that purchased a manual 8 years ago.

Picture is for people that are not sure what a Vendo 23 looks like.  The machine pictured here is not being offered for sale, just the manual.

Most Vendo 23 manuals have less than 20 pages, ours has 50! This restoration manual for the Vendo 23 has the material I have gathered from 32 years of restoring soda machines. Contains reproduction of the original service manual including installation, bottle loading instructions, exploded views of the V-23 with parts lists and illustrations of the refrigeration unit, slug rejectors, coin mechanism assembly and other parts. Also included is a reproduction of the refinishing section of the cooler service manual including suggested manufacturer's paint numbers for refinishing the older rounded corner machines. Not only that, but a reproduction of the rare service and parts manual sent to the bottler when they ordered a new Vendo 23! Contains 7 pages on the slug rejector alone!! We give you the Dupont Centari paint number we use and why, compressor hints, and even a list of Vendo serial numbers for some of the most popular Vendo machines from 1946 through 1959 so you can tell how many were manufactured and when your machine was made. Also information supplied by Vendo on 10 models including the Vendo 23, giving the weight of the cooler, vending and pre-cool capacity, cabinet dimensions, and what coin mechanisms were available for these models, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, and even 27 cent mechs were available for some models!!! We give you a LIST OF PARTS SUPPLIERS so you can get items you need for your machine, and a LIST OF BOOKS, PRICE GUIDES AND MAGAZINES about soda machines.
