Venetian 6 Layer Bead, African Trade - Newly Worked

Greetings. Thank You for your interest. I am proud to offer this antique, six layer, Venetian, chevron bead that has been newly reworked and which comes from the African trade. This bead is a survivor! It was badly chipped on the surface and I reworked the bead by grinding out the chips, added facet like stripes corresponding with the blue stripes and then polishing it. Is this still an antique bead? Yes, it has just been reprocessed for futher use...chipped beads can be reborn and lovely again. This bead measures 1.37 inches long by 0.98 inches wide.
