Up for auction today from my Mother's estate of dolls & treasures is a darling composition boy doll.
Found in box of SEVERAL old compo Ginnys, I am unsure of maker as no marks.
He is dressed in foreign costume which I think Alexander & R & B has lines of foreign lands dolls. All original costume.
Dark brown molded hair. Brown side glance painted eyes. Red lips. Compo cracks & crazing. Couple paint chips in hair.
Crazing and tiny cracks on arms, legs & body. Spoon hands & Fingers not chipped.
A little loose on original stringing. I did redo the arms.
Feet have molded shoes & ribbed socks if that is any clue to maker.
He is dressed with orange felt vest, floral shirt, yellow tie belt and red puffy see through pants. Pants so have a couple pin point holes. I tried to take close up pics. Shirt secured in back with tiny safety pin. Purple trim on collar coming apart in back. Green felt cap with metal button and yarn bow tie.
What makes me think Persian is the orange felt shoes with "curled up toes".
From non-smoking house and stored in box for years away from dust & sunlight.
These dolls mean a lot to our family but we can't keep them all. We know Mom would of been happy to know her "babies" went to good homes and made someone happy for years to come.
Thanks for looking and good luck.
