Very early English user-made marking gauge 8.5” long. This tool is currently owned by world-famous millwright Derek Ogden who acquired it in 1968 from Charles Chatham, an elderly Pattern maker who worked for an agricultural manufacturing company in Birmingham, England. Ogden bought the complete tool chest from Chatham and used the tools in his work of reconstructing and repairing old water and wind mills until two years ago. MR034
I have many more marking gauges and hundreds of other tools, so don't hesitate to write if you want more information. Please review my feedback and bid with confidence. I try to describe everything as accurately as possible. I never withhold anything negative that I have seen, but I might miss something that is important to you. If you purchase more than one item, be sure to wait for my invoice so I can give you a combined shipping cost. I ship the next business day after receiving payment and am happy to ship worldwide. Thanks for looking and please check my EBay store: Timeless-Tools-for-Carpentry-y-More for old tools. Also sign up for my bi-weekly newsletter with photos of my most recent finds.
