Victorian Album of Mrs. Owen, Louisiana 1870s to 1890's

Offered for auction is a leather covered photo album containing thirty six (36) cabinet photographs dating from the 1870's through the 1890's. Many of these photos are identified, most are from New Orleans, La. with two or three showing what appears to royalty in Canada and a few pictures from other areas of the United States. The album is in poor condition missing the latch, and there is some seperation of pages from the spine. Several of the pictures are loose but the majority are mounted in the pages. The album cover is embossed in gold leaf with "Mrs. Owen Louisiana". The photos range in condition from fair to excellent with the majority in the good to very good catgory. Many have light fading and foxing but most of the images are still clear. It is unusual to find old albums from the New Orleans area that have this many identified pictures.
