Victorian Antique Rosewood Sofa Table ca 1860

This beautiful small Victorian antique continental rosewood sofa table has a serpentine top with two drop leaves which are supported by swing brackets. The front and back are serpentine shaped and the front has a mahogany lined drawer with a key and working lock. The four outer corners have turned finials and the piece has four beautifully turned reeded upright supports. The piece stands on four beautiful scrolled carved legs with brass and wood casters and a turned reeded stretcher. The piece is a rich dark rosewood colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
