Victorian Cranberry Glass Silverplate Pickle Castor

Up for auction is this gorgeous Victorian art glass pickle castor with silver plate frame.  It is 11" tall and 5 1/2" wide.  The castor insert is cranberry glass which is hand decorated with colorful raised enamel flowers.  The shape is very unusual with the extended glass band in the center along with an inverted thumbprint design.  The top rim is cut and polished. It is in very good condition. There is a flea-bite on the rim and a flake located on the outer rim/lip which can't be seen when the lid is in place.  

The silver plate frame is decorative, with figural leaves, flowers and an unusual bamboo handle.  The frame is marked with the Meriden Silver Plate Company hallmark and #0636.  The lid, as you can see, is tarnished from age and the frame retains most of the silver plating.  It needs a good cleaning.
