ITEM:
Flexible Flyer Snow Sled Advertising Card
CONDITION:
Good. The runners on the sled are meant to be folded down, so the card sits on them like a real sled. As best I can tell, they have never been folded. At the front of the card, the runners are connected to the bumper... on the left side, the card has torn and is not connected.
There is light wear to edges and corners. Colors are excellent!
AGE:
Not dated. I would guesstimate the early 1900s.
SIZE:
3.25 x 6 inches.
GRAPHICS/ILLUSTRATIONS:
The card is a faithful image of the Flexible Flyer sled as they were at the time. It includes the logo and decorations on the body, and even has details on the runner supports! Nice!

The reverse has details of construction for the sled, and explains how and why it is such a superior sled!

COMMENTS: Yeah boy, I LOVED to go sledding when it snowed. One home we lived in had a short but steep slope in the back, and a looooong run to a creek. The goal (of course), was to reach the creek. If I remember correctly, the one kid who DID end up taking a cold cold bath was the only one with a genuine Flexible Flyer! I might have to look for adult size sleds if it snows this year... now a rare thing in central NC, sighhhh.
