This is an alternate version of the Demimonde ensemble, available in my other auctions. It is the same design, but uses venice lace trim instead of feathers for a more demure, not so flashy look ;) It is perfect for any event where you want to turn heads, and even reeanactors who are tired of portaying the "goodly woman"! This auction is for a CUSTOM ensemble, in your size and with your choice of fabrics and colors.

This dress is made lightly following historically accurate patterns. It is made to fit over a corset, but if you can fit it without it should be fine as the top is boned and has three layers to keep a good shape. 

The underskirt is luscious black velvet. It is an A-line with a 135" hem. The waistband closes with hook and eyes. Looks smashing by itself, imagine the skirt with a bright red corset and you'll knock 'em all down! Great for mix and match :)

The overskirt is a classic bustle skirt, with a swagged front and side pleats, and the back is pulled up by ribbons. The underskirt does not allow for a bustle, but you could wear a bustle pillow underneath this overskirt to hold the dress out. But I think it looks fine down, too, Im just suggesting. The overskirt front is trimmed with black venice lace, and gathered organza ribbon with trim down the middle.

The top is very versatile, you could wear it as a jacket with only a few buttons closed, or open, or really any way! 

The front closes with ten antique styled buttons. The sleeve cuffs are trimmed with feathers as well.

The top is interlined with 100% cotton and lined. The seams are all boned as well. The back has loose box pleats in staggered lengths to simulate a tailcoat. Check out the pictures but you have nooo idea how awesome this is in person! Please feel free to ask any questions as I love to talk about this dress :)

After auction end, I will send a form to you that illustrates how to take the measurements I need. Please be aware that the dress will only be as accurate as your measurements! Wearing a corset underneath is recommended but not required, but before taking any measurements, please wear the undergarments you plan on wearing. (Bra, corset ect...) and then measure. Thanks!

This is how I make my living. I sew out of my house all by myself with a rambuncious 2 year old to chase around. If you think that maybe my price is a little high, figure that it took me a week to make this plus cost of materials, and I only come out in the end to making less tham minimum wage. I do it because I love to sew, I love costuming, and I love selling on Ebay to people all over the world. I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I do making them, because in the end, when I have a happy customer in one of my creations, it makes it totally worth it.
