A beautiful and clearly very old door lock. I am no expert in locks and am offering the item ‘as is’. There is a trademark that appears to read ‘PYE’ above a horseshoe that frames the keyhole for luck!
The latch opens with a manual pull of the brass tab at the end- and presumably locks via the internal mechanism that is concealed within. I cannot see inside and therefore can only sell the lock as is.
A truly beautiful highly decorative piece- sold without the opposing door catch or key.
