Vintage 1 Pint Stoneware Salt Crock

 

This vintage pint salt crock measures 4 inches tall by 6 inches wide.  It has no markings on it.  It is in good condition – no cracks but there is a chip on the outside rim.  It looks like a manufacturer’s  “repair attempt” or possibly a glaze pop.  It does not detract from the appearance, actually gives it character.  The inside of the crock has a rounded bottom – not squared off where the sides meet the bottom of the crock.  A really neat old crock!!
