Vintage 1874 8'5" Steinway Style IV Grand Piano in Rosewood Finish

This is a rare Steinway Grand Piano. Serial number 28360. According to Steinway's records, it was completed in their New York Factory on October 3, 1874 and sold to William Kemp, 11 East 48th Street NYC, NY. It was their full concert grand at the time and is the predecessor to the current Model D Concert Grand. This particular piano has a beautiful bell like tone in the upper register as well as a full round bass quality for an instrument from this era. The pictures supplied tell the story of how beautiful and striking the rosewood finish is on this piano.

Other info: Original Ivory keys. New Soundboard, Pinblock, Bridges, and restrung in June of 1977 by an expert Steinway rebuilder. Updated Steinway action with new German Abel Hammers. Full Dampp Chaser system with humidifier and dehumidifiers installed. Newly refinished with a high quality, polished hand rubbed laquer finish. Comparable with other pianos selling for over $125,000.00.
