Very rare vintage Vega Whyte Laydie 6-string Banjo-guitar from the 1920's.  Serial Number:  66101   Made in Boston, MA, USA.

Everything appears to be original and fully intact.

Features an ebony fretboard with beautiful inlays, which shows only light to moderate wear, frets show moderate wear.   Gorgeous, smooth maple neck shows light wear.

Comes with calf skin head and non-original case.

Excellent player with classic, well-projected Vega Whyte Laydie signature tone.

Rock solid construction with no structural breaks, cracks or issues.

Headstock is missing the star inlay, there is a crack in the heel cap, a nick on the lower treble side of the headstock and the ebony is chipped where the fretboard meets the body.

Looks as if someone had added a resonator at some point which has been removed (see resonator mount), but I believe this Whyte Laydie 'banjitar' was designed as an open back model.

Will ship internationally.  Sold as-is, all sales final.  Payment due upon auction close.  Domestic shipments are fully insured, insurance limited to $400 on international shipments.  Please do not bid unless you have a minimum of 5 positive feedback.

This is a No Reserve Auction on an authentic, finely crafted American classic.
