You are bidding on a Vintage 1930’s CG CONN USA Cornet model 80A. I am not an expert on musical instruments so my description is from observation and what I learned on the website “The Conn Loyalist”. Please feel free to email questions or to request additional photos. Here’s what I know. It measures 16 ½ inches (without the mouthpiece). The bell measures 4 ½ inches diameter. The serial number located on the side of the second slide is 305935 and the model number located near the mouthpiece is 80A.The mouthpiece is stamped “Frank Houlton Chicago 30 “ Overall condition is original and very good with some small areas of wear from use. The etching is very deep and clear. The writing on the bell states “ C.G. CONN USA ELKHART-IND. The slides move easily and don’t stick. The finger buttons are topped with mother of pearl and their condition is very good . The case is intact and has no major cracks , breaks or tears. The velvet inside is also nice but has some wear marks. Both latches work but I don’t have a key for the locks. I haven’t made any attempt to clean or adjust this instrument.
