Vintage 1930s Floor Lamp Art Deco Light Slag Glass Base

Up for bid is an antique floor lamp featuring one socket, sturdy construction and a base decorated in back-lit slag glass.

Lamps like these once frequented the homes of the most affluent, or the lobbies of expensive hotels.  The Art Deco design style is typical of the 1920s and 1930s, and the slag glass elements at the base look truly lovely, especially when lit.  This lamp would look gorgeous if given a matching slag glass shade.

This old floor lamp stands 62” tall and has no lamp shades.  The socket accommodates standard bulbs.  It should still work well, but we were unable to test it due to a broken bulb stuck in the socket, which should be removable.   The base of the main lamp will need to be screwed as it is loose.  Some of the bulbs in the base may need to be replaced, but it DOES light up.   The classic lamp shows light signs of wear, but is in great condition.
