Vintage 1930's Secret Service Operator Badge "Dodge"

* Old obsolete toy premium badge, circa approx 1930's and probably ordered from a pulp fiction magazine story, (item seems to be from the same era as Operator 5 and Operator 13), however there is a bit of nonfiction here and here's what I think, (but you be the judge in the end).

* General Grenville M. Dodge: Dodge is identified as a Union general in the west skillful in intelligence and counterintelligence operations working for the Secret Service, an important Union intelligence figure in the west during the Civil War in the United States, approx 1862.

* G-Man of sorts, 60 years before Melvin Purvis came onto the scene with J. Edgar Hoover.

* Badge is made of tin with a soldered on pin, it measures approx: 2 1/2" x 1 13/16", see pictures for more description.
