Welcome to the
Care and Share Thrift Shoppes
of Souderton, PA!
This CROSLEY model 184 was manufactured in 1934. It has one station "WLW" imprinted on the dial and the rest of the dial is the normal AM frequency numbers. In 1934 , the Crosley company started an amazing 500KW experimental station in Cincinnati, Ohio (when this radio was manufactured) and they planned to cover the whole US with it's high powered broadcasts.
This radio DOES NOT WORK, it has a missing tube. The cabinet is in relatively good condition. There are scratches, but no major chips or cracks (see pictures) the fabric on the front also has some holes. The knobs and dial are complete, but there is one tube and shield missing. At some point, someone attempted to plug this radio inot 120 V power, and it blew a fuse. It should make a great restoration project!
cabinet is approx 12 1/4" tall, x 7 3/4" deep x 9 3/4" wide
