This item is a vintage 1937 poster created for the US Forest Service by noted illustrator James Montgomery Flagg at the behest of President Franklin D Roosevelt.  Flagg created many posters for the WW I war effort.  It depicts Uncle Sam in a forest ranger uniform relaying the message "Youf Forest - Your Fault - Your Loss!"

  The white border and reverse side of the print are slightly discolored due to its age.  The owner can attest to it's existence as far back as 1955 which precludes any possibility that it's a copy.

It measures 11 3/4" by 18 3/4" and is im mint condition.
