Vintage 1940s Ceramic Resting DEER FIGURINE Signed NR

For sale here is a very colorful and attractive ceramic deer figurine from the 1940s or 50s USA. Marked as shown in my photo, but I can't make out what it says, other than it's likely USA origin.
Measures 6" wide by 5.75" tall by 1.5" deep.
Excellent condition.
