This listing is for a Set of 3 Vintage 1945 Audels Carpenters and Builders Guide Books.
These are leather bound books - Numbers 2, 3 and 4. They have Copyright dates of 1923 and 1939 and were reprinted in 1945. The publishers were Theo. Audel & Company and they were printed in the United States.
Foreword
"The Audel's Guides to the Building Trades" are a practical serie s of educators on the various branches of Modern Building Construction and are dedicaed to Master Builders and their Associates.
These Guides are designed to give technical trade information in concise, accurate, plain language.
The Guides illlustrate the hows and whys, short cuts, modern ways and methods of the foundation principles of the art.
Each book in the series is fully illustrated and indexed fro readiest form of reference and study.
The Guides will speak for themselves --- and help to increase the reader's knowledge and skill in the Building Trades.

Overall, these books are in very good condition. Book Number 2 has 2 pages that were never cut at the bottom and as such, extend about ½" below the book.

SHIPPING
We prefer to ship via United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail for most items weighing less than 3 pounds. For items weighing more than 3 pounds we use either USPS Parcel Post or DHL. Most shipping is calculated according to your address - please be sure to enter your zip code or select your country to view the correct cost.
If the listing states FREE shipping to the United States, we are referring to the 48 contiguous states - residents of Alaska and Hawaii, please contact us for the correct shipping charge.

We usually ship all orders within 2 business days of payment receipt. This is reflective of our business hours of 9:00AM - 5:00PM Monday through Friday EST. Items with Friday or weekend payments will usually ship by the following Tuesday.
SMALL APPLIANCES & TOOLS (NEWER) We ship many new (and new, old stock) appliances and tools in their original outer box/package, shrink wrapped to protect from moisture, to save on shipping costs (these items are already packaged with the necessary protection to secure them in transit). If you want the item (and its original box/package) shipped inside of another box, let us know. Please note, however, that this will cause an increase in your shipping cost.
LARGE AND FREIGHT ITEMS Please use the shipping calculator or - you are welcome to arrange your own freight shipping. A great source for inexpensive shipping is USHIP.com. Customer pickups are welcome and are actually preferred for freight items. Please see our business hours above.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS If the package being shipped weighs less than 4 pounds a flat rate shipping cost will be stated for your country. If the package weighs more than 4 pounds please use eBay's shipping calculator - and if your country is not listed, you may contact us at kkt@bid-it-adieu.com to request that cost. Be sure to include your complete address and the eBay item information when contacting us.
International Buyers - Please Note:
Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up - do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
COMBINED SHIPPING POLICY As we sell such a wide variety of items it is not possible to specify a standard rate for combined shipping. However, if you wish to purchase more than one item from us we will be glad to combine the shipping and handling costs for those items. That cost will be reflective of the package size and weight when the items are combined.
INSURANCE We are not responsible for loss or damage to items/packages once they leave our possession. As such, we would encourage you to purchase insurance when it is listed as "optional" on the invoice. The amount is noted - you need only to elect this option when making your payment.
Please note that if you are an International buyer, shipping insurance is required.
LOST OR DAMAGED ITEMS We take pride in our packaging, but if by some unforeseen accident the insured item is lost* or damaged in transit, we will not issue a refund for that item - the refund will come from USPS or DHL. We will assist you in anyway we can, but the REFUND for damaged or lost goods will be sent to you by the courier - not us. We will gladly help you complete/fill out any and all forms necessary to obtain your refund.
*Please note that a parcel is not considered lost until 21 days domestic and 45 days for International shipments has lapsed since the shipment date.
