I've owned this 1945 D-18 Martin serial # 92201 since the '70s and it has had only studio use since then. Original finish - Original parts. Plays & sounds wonderful with solid bottom bass and strong clear ringing highs. It doesn't bottom out when you apply power with right hand. Neck is attached good. Nothing falling apart on it or needing repaired. It had many surface scratches when I purchased it and pick chafe wear as well as an expert patched hole on side (you can barely see it when looking and can't feel it) - done by Acoustic guitar guru - Don Teeter in OKC back in 70's. He set it up and checked it out. There had been a ?Barcus Berry transducer pickup attached to face around the bridge with two screws as many did when those type of pickups were introduced to get PA sound with their acoustics. This guitar is like the vintage pre-war models and very light. This is a chance to pick up a 60+ year old Martin for your collection or to play!!! The case is like brand new - A beautiful black Access with arch top. (I would include old Martin gray plastic style case I've had for years for it also if you want to pay shipping. Handle is broken on it. ) Feel free to contact me with any questions you have. Good luck!!! On Nov-01-09 at 18:39:16 PST, seller added the following information:
