Vintage 1950's Anscochrome Slide Honolulu Buildings 2

Offered for sale one (1) vintage photographic image on a mounted full color slide transparency. Standard size slide. First quality prints on premium film, well stored and kept with no damage or fading. Apparently from the 1950's, and the few dated examples confirm this.

Photo of Honolulu or other Hawaiian street with buildings and palm trees, c. 1957. This was one of the several best photos in the lot (along with the sunset), but also one of the most difficult to get a good webcam shot of, the bright white cloud right in the middle threw the contrast totally off. In fact this is a beautifully done photo, the exposure is absolutely perfect, everything is clear (although the one building face on the left is in total shadow). Vanishing perspective with palms, not something you see every day.

If you are interested in the subject, I cannot imagine that you would not be happy with the slide. However, you can return it if you don't like it.

From a collection taken by a skilled amateur photographic hobbyist. The photographer was a naval officer I see no reason to name here, but details will be given to buyers for purposes of documentation and proper credit. They are quite competently shot, well framed with correct exposure. Since the officer himself is in some shots, obviously others have helped on occasion.

The image you see presented here in this listing was taken with the aid of a slide projector, a large piece of white cardboard and a webcam. For the most part the result was at least serviceable. Some came out better than others, and in each example it was necessary to hold the webcam out of the light to avoid shadow, so the images shown here are slightly oblong. All considered this method is not bad for showing what you really would be getting. If you are unhappy with any slide that you purchase it may be returned with no questions asked.

This image might or might not have come out reversed, I just am not sure.
