Vintage 1950's Kodachrome Slide Cadillac Convertible 2

Offered for sale one (1) vintage photographic image on a mounted full color slide transparency. Standard size slide. First quality prints on premium film, well stored and kept with no damage or fading. Apparently from the 1950's.

Photo of Cadillac Convertible in Hawaii, c. 1957, likely late summer. The actual slide is very clear with not so much contrast, unfortunately there is a very minor heat spot which does not affect the clarity or focus, all it does is make the front fender look like it is in the shadow of some leaves. Very likely this could be digitally corrected, but the image could be used as is. Either way it is offered for some discount compared to my estimate of a similar item undamaged.

The attribution is to the best of my ability.

From a collection taken by a skilled amateur photographic hobbyist. The photographer was a naval officer I see no reason to name here, but details will be given to winning bidders for purposes of documentation and proper credit. They are quite competently shot, well framed with correct exposure. There are some examples where he took the time to plan and prepare a nature or floral shot, and these in particular show an advanced skill level. Since the officer himself is in some shots, obviously others have helped on occasion.

The image you see presented here in this listing was taken with the aid of a slide projector, a large piece of white cardboard and a webcam. For the most part the result was at least serviceable. Some came out better than others, and in each example it was necessary to hold the webcam out of the light to avoid shadow, so the images shown here are slightly oblong. All considered this method is not bad for showing what you really would be getting. If you are unhappy with any slide that you purchase it may be returned with no questions asked.

This image might or might not have come out reversed, I just am not sure.
